Tympanometry
A quick, painless assessment of the middle ear.
An objective middle-ear assessment
Tympanometry measures how the eardrum responds to gentle pressure changes. It helps assess middle-ear function and may indicate fluid, blockage or other conditions that need attention.
When is it recommended?
- A blocked or pressured feeling in the ear.
- Recurring ear infections.
- Changes in hearing, especially in children.
- As a complement to audiometry.
The examination takes only a few minutes and the specialist explains the results immediately.
